At present, approximately 40% of the raw materials consumed by the pulp and paper industry as a whole consist of pulp, with the remaining 60% made up of recovered paper. Leveraging its domestic and international network, the Group procures pulp and recovered paper and supplies these materials to paper manufacturers. The Group handles close to 10% of the recovered paper traded in Japan. More than 70% of the paper and paperboard sold by the Group (by volume) is supplied to paper manufacturers as recovered paper.
