・GX League
We have expressed our support for the “GX League Basic Concept” announced by Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI). Subsequently, under the GX Emissions Trading Scheme (GX‑ETS), we have declared greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction targets for 2025 and 2030 and are actively working to reduce GHG emissions. The scope of these targets covers KPP Group Holdings, Kokusai Pulp & Paper, and KPP Logistics. ・Plastic Smart
Our subsidiary, Kokusai Pulp & Paper, has expressed its support for the concept of “Plastic Smart,” an initiative promoted by Japan’s Ministry of the Environment, and participates in the related forum. As marine plastic waste that is not collected continues to flow into the ocean through rivers and other pathways on a daily basis, the Ministry of the Environment promotes Plastic Smart to raise awareness and expand efforts aimed at addressing marine plastic pollution. ・Japan Clean Ocean Material Alliance
Kokusai Pulp & Paper participates in the Clean Ocean Material Alliance (Japan Clean Ocean Material Alliance, “CLOMA”), which was established under the leadership of Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. Founded in 2019, CLOMA promotes the sustainable use of plastic products and the development and adoption of alternative materials, with the aim of accelerating innovation to address the global challenge of marine plastic pollution. As a trading company specializing in paper, we will continue to leverage the transaction networks we have cultivated over the years to advance initiatives toward the realization of a clean ocean.

・30by30 Alliance for Biodiversity
We participate in the 30by30 Alliance for Biodiversity with the aim of promoting initiatives toward the realization of a nature‑positive future that seeks to halt and reverse biodiversity loss.
The 30by30 Alliance for Biodiversity is a voluntary coalition established to advance the achievement of the “30by30” target, which aims to effectively conserve at least 30% of each country’s land and marine areas as healthy ecosystems by 2030, through all‑Japan collaboration among government agencies, companies, and non‑profit organizations, led by Japan’s Ministry of the Environment.

・FRET21 
Our subsidiary Antalis has participated in FRET21 through its France operations since 2023. FRET21 is a voluntary approach that enables shippers to promote the management of environmental performance and transport activity data. The initiative aims to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions associated with downstream transportation by at least 5%, by encouraging actions such as working with transport partners to reduce GHG emissions and promoting the use of vehicles with lower GHG emission intensity. In the first year of its commitment, Antalis France achieved an 8% reduction in GHG emissions by encouraging the use of lower‑emission‑intensity vehicles and shortening transport distances through the utilization of regional warehouses.

・1% for the Planet
1% for the Planet is an organization founded in 2002 with the aim of creating positive environmental impact through the collective efforts of companies and individuals. It encourages companies and individuals to donate 1% of their annual sales to environmental protection initiatives. Member organizations address a wide range of issues, including climate change, biodiversity, education, and waste management. The Olin Origins and Data Copy® brands of the Antalis Group are members of 1% for the Planet. Since 2021, they have made donations to non‑profit organizations to support their projects and generate meaningful impact across various fields.

・Hataraku-Yell
We were certified as a “Welfare Promotion Corporation” under Hataraku‑Yell, an employee welfare award and certification program that recognizes companies and organizations providing outstanding employee benefits. The scope of this certification covers KPP Group Holdings and our subsidiary, Kokusai Pulp & Paper. The certification was granted in recognition of our efforts to clearly define the objectives and positioning of our employee benefits programs, as well as our approach to assessing how effectively these initiatives are achieving their intended purposes.
Building on this certification, the Group will continue to further enhance and implement employee benefits initiatives that reflect the evolving needs of our employees.

・United Nations Global Compact (UNGC)
The United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) is an international initiative through which companies and organizations commit to voluntarily supporting the Ten Principles in the areas of human rights, labor, the environment, and anti‑corruption, and to contributing to the creation of a sustainable society.
Participating companies are required to integrate the principles into their business operations and to publicly disclose their progress annually through a Communication on Progress (COP). Our subsidiary Antalis has participated in the United Nations Global Compact through its France operations as a signatory since 2012, endorsing the Ten Principles across the four areas of human rights, labor, the environment, and anti‑corruption.
