Although the volume of recovered paper generated is expected to decline in the future, the Group is working to secure a stable supply by strengthening its collection network and diversifying collection methods. One such proprietary collection method is Town ecomo. Since the installation of its first unit in 2011, Town ecomo has gained strong support from partner companies, and approximately 420 units are now in operation nationwide, serving a complementary role to municipal and government collection systems.
From 2025, in addition to recovered paper, new collection units capable of collecting corrugated cardboard, PET bottles, and aluminum cans have been introduced, expanding the scope of recyclable materials. In addition, the Group also offers Office ecomo, a system for recycling confidential documents generated in offices
Town ecomo
Town ecomo is a recycling system in which recovered paper generated by households is brought to collection boxes installed at supermarkets and other retail stores and recycled for use as raw material for papermaking. At some stores, customers can also earn points based on the weight of the recovered paper they bring in.
Office ecomo
Office ecomo is a new recycling system for confidential documents.
It collects confidential documents generated in corporate offices and recycles them into recovered paper for use as raw material.
For companies that generate large volumes of confidential documents, this system significantly reduces the time and effort required for shredding, while reducing environmental impact.
